Can we be this fortunate, this lucky to have someone this extraordinary? Somehow I doubt it, I'm pessimistic. I don't think America is smart enough, or deserving enough. Look at the idiot that they've put in the White House now. But we all need some "Audacity of Hope"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8746692.post-48824993942037319542008-07-14T08:25:00.000-04:002008-07-14T08:25:00.000-04:00Great generational perspective review, right up un...Great generational perspective review, right up until you said said, "Then came the Reagan and Bush II Administrations, and the dramatic widening of the gap between rich and poor."<BR/><BR/>Sometimes you disappoint when you opt for a culture war explanation instead of a generational one. Forget Reagan & Bush. Forget Carter & Clinton. Forget what party they come from. The President and his administration have little to nothing to do with how the economy behaves. The great widening of the gap between rich and poor came because the SILENT moved into leadership control in 1977 and held it until 1996. Then the BOOMERS, who have absolutely no idea about how to deal with things economic, followed them into power.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8746692.post-11012330894611283742008-07-13T23:41:00.000-04:002008-07-13T23:41:00.000-04:00Great review. I found it to be a little long in the Chicago organizing part and on the African trip, otherwise a tremendous read.<BR/><BR/>I thought I knew Obama before reading, now I feel like I do indeed know him.Duezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13297380628744711569noreply@blogger.com
